Quadrat A was surveyed in March 2002, a month before quadrats
B-E.
It was surveyed by members of Staff as a 'practice run' before bringing students
down.
The area is a well established piece of woodland, with a variety of trees.
The ground has a deep layer of leaf litter, and appears well drained.
